On 9 July 2026, on the auspicious day of the disappearance of Srivas Pandit, at 7:41 a.m. (Chile time), Srila Bhaktikavi Atulananda Acharya Swami left his physical form.
Born in Chile in 1952, he dedicated his entire life to the mission of his spiritual master, Srila Prabhupada.
I met Srila Atulananda Maharaja around 1994 and remember him as an authentic and noble spiritual teacher.
He had a clear and practical mind, a serene expression and a sincere smile. In our conversations, he was always open, respectful and deeply grounded in bhakti-yoga.
He gifted me a copy of his book Vaisnavismo y Cristianismo, where he explored affinities between traditions and emphasized love of the Creator as the heart of spiritual life.
Today, it saddens me deeply that both the Vaishnava world and the secular world have lost such a noble and spiritually elevated human being as Srila Bhaktikavi Atulananda Maharaja.
Founder director of the Congregación Sarasvat Gaudiya Seva, he authored numerous works on bhakti-yoga, devotional poetry and poetic translations into Spanish of foundational Vaishnava texts and songs.
He leaves behind hundreds of disciples and devotees, especially in the Spanish-speaking world, who will always remember him as a guru and acharya of total dedication, integrity and spiritual commitment.
I offer my most humble reverences at his lotus feet.
