The 19th edition of the Yoga Journal Conference in Moscow was a celebration of ahimsa, unity and love.
I must confess that getting to Russia was not easy.
When I received the invitation from Yoga Journal to be part of their 19th Congress, I felt very happy. I have taken part before in the Yoga Journal Conference Moscow; I love Russia and especially the Yoga Journal Conference in Moscow.
But getting the flight was very difficult. So complicated that I almost cancelled my participation in the event!
During my time in India, before the event, I had practically decided not to attend. But the YJ team was so efficient (and insistent) in finding a good plane ticket that in the end the whole picture opened up to make it happen.
It gladdened me to see so many people united on the path of Yoga and spirituality. Incredible teachers, great sponsors, the perfect venue and a receptive crowd.
Russians have a history of deep spiritual roots, from the early shamanic times to the first years of the mysticism of the Orthodox Church. This is why the connection with spiritual ideas is easy for the people of this beautiful country.
I feel honoured to have been part of this incredible event and I eagerly look forward to my next visit to Mother Russia.
During the interview that Yoga Journal did with me for the event, they asked me:
What was your feeling about coming to Russia? (In view of the current situations, of course).
My answer was:
“I have taken part before in the Yoga Journal Conference Moscow. I love Russia.
And as a spiritual person I live in Love… not in fear. So my feeling was love… love for this beautiful country, love for these beautiful people, love for these beautiful yogis”.
May our practice be prosperous.
Always with love
