Palm Sunday: the entrance to the inner temple

· Yogarahasya

Jesus advances towards the holy city, but not the one of stone or brick, rather the inner one: the Abode of the Self.

That holy space, that sanctum sanctorum, where the human and the divine meet. Mounted on a donkey, a humble symbol of earthly nature, it is not about destroying what we are, but about understanding it and living it in awareness.

The Spirit does not reject human life; it illuminates and sanctifies it.

As he advances, the crowd waves palm leaves, signs of victory and of royalty. It is the announcement of the deepest conquest: that of the soul over its own shadows, that of the being who remembers its original nature.

Then the cry resounds: “Hosanna”, save us now. Just as we have seen in Eastern philosophy: “Atha”, now. Atha Yoga Anushasanam. Yoga is now, the teaching is now, growth is now, salvation is now… always here, always now.

Palm Sunday is the threshold. The entrance. The beginning of a path that will not stop at the celebration, but will pass through purification, surrender, symbolic death and, finally, resurrection. Because every authentic awakening demands a radical transformation.

And so, each time this day returns, it does not do so for us to remember it, but for us to live it. So that we allow that which is highest in us to enter, take the reins and lead us, not towards ephemeral glory, but towards the truth.

Because the true Palm Sunday occurs when the divine ceases to be an idea… and begins to dwell, silently, within us.
